What are NAICS codes and what are they used for?

SANDAG uses North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes to notify prospective applicants of current and upcoming grant solicitations. As a vendor you will choose which codes to register for, which will determine the grant solicitations you receive notifications for.

How do I register on Bidnet Direct to receive notice of and participate in SANDAG grant opportunities?

What information do I need to register on bidnet direct?

Basic registration requires key contact information for your organization’s main user, such as organization name, address, and phone number. Once you have completed the basic registration, you will receive an email to verify your account information. After your account is verified, you will be prompted to complete additional information.

There is an easy-to-use keyword search in Bidnet Direct that pulls up all related NAICS codes by keyword upon registration and within the My Company Profile section of bidnet direct. You can register for as many NAICS Codes as you would like.

What is SANDAG?

The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) is the San Diego region’s primary public planning, transportation, and research agency, providing the public forum for regional policy decisions about growth, transportation planning and construction, environmental management, housing, open space, energy, public safety, and binational topics. SANDAG is governed by a Board of Directors composed of mayors, council members, and supervisors from each of the region’s 18 cities and the county government.

What is Bidnet Direct?

In 2021, SANDAG transitioned to a new procurement platform and vendor portal that is hosted by Bidnet Direct. This will be the exclusive online vendor portal used to post and notify prospective applicants of current SANDAG grant opportunities.
