How do I register on Bidnet Direct to receive the City of Shafter business opportunities?

Registration on Bidnet Direct is done online. To receive notifications of matching the City of Shafter's solicitations, simply register here.

What information do I need to register on Bidnet Direct?

Basic registration requires key contact information for your company's main user, such as company name, address, and phone number. Once you have completed the basic registration, you will receive an email to verify your account information. After your account is verified, you will be prompted to complete additional information, including NIGP Category code selections.

What is Bidnet Direct?

As of February 8, 2023, The City of Shafter is transitioning from its current platform, Ebidboard, to California Purchasing Group, the vendor portal to a procurement platform that is hosted by Bidnet Direct. This will be the online vendor portal used to post and notify vendors of current solicitation opportunities, proposal and bid submissions.

Many participating agencies also utilize the electronic bid submission option for vendors to submit responses directly online through the platform. In addition, Bidnet’s content team of researchers visits thousands of agency websites, newspapers, and other locations to aggregate open solicitations from non-participating agencies to alert registered vendors of matching opportunities.

Limited registration gives you access and notification to the 
City of Shafter’s open solicitations and other participating agencies in the California Purchasing Group at no additional cost

What are the registration options?

Yes, all registered vendors can download documents from the City of Shafter along with other participating agency documents attached to matching solicitations.

Will I be able to download documents?

Will I still be able to access solicitations on Ebidboard bid system?

Please note that if you are currently registered on Ebidboard bid system, that system is being decommissioned effective March 31, 2023. In order to continue to receive bid opportunities from the City of Shafter, you will need to register on the new system. All NEW solicitations will be issued on Bidnet Direct’s California Purchasing Group as of February 8, 2023. Simply register online to ensure you stay notified of our upcoming opportunities.

I am a certified small business owner through The Network, how should I update my certification?

If you are currently certified as a small business through The Network, future communications will be forthcoming to renew your certification via the new platform.
