What information do I need to register on Bidnet Direct?

Registering on Bidnet Direct is a two-step process. For Step 1, you will need key contact information for your company's main user, such as company name, address, and phone number. Once you have completed Step 1, you will receive an email to verify your account information. After your account is verified, you will be prompted to complete Step 2 where you will provide additional information, including your company’s North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Codes, FEIN (Tax number), Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number, and any applicable Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) or Small Business (SB) certification information.

What are NAICS Codes used for?

Click here to see a list of NAICS Codes that SANDAG most often uses for its solicitations. In addition, there is an easy-to-use keyword search that pulls up all related NAICS codes by keyword upon registration & within the My Company Profile section of Bidnet Direct. You can register for as many NAICS Codes as you would like on Bidnet Direct. If you are a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firm, please only register for the NAICS codes covered by your DBE certification.

How do I know what NAICS Codes to register for?

SANDAG publishes a monthly list of all Upcoming Solicitations and Upcoming Task Order Solicitations to its website.

What is SANDAG?

The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) is San Diego region’s primary public planning, transportation, and research agency, providing the public forum for regional policy decisions about growth, transportation planning and construction, environmental management, housing, open space, energy, public safety, and binational topics. SANDAG is governed by a Board of Directors composed of mayors, council members, and supervisors from each of the region’s 18 cities and the county government.

SANDAG utilizes NAICS Codes to notify vendors of solicitations that they may be interested in. NAICS Codes applicable to your firm will be selected during the registration process.
